That time is now and the signs have already begun to appear all over the world. In these uncertain times one band strives to make a difference and deliver a message of hope that has been graced by the favor of God. The goal of the band is to write music and lyrics that will inspire young people and have a positive influence on their daily lives. Revelation was formed in 2003 on a farm near the city of Pretoria and is named after the last book of the Holy Bible. The band consists of Derrick Dercksen on lead vocals and guitar, Mario Dercksen on drums and percussion and Riaan Scholtz on bass guitar and backing vocals. The signature sound of the band can best be described as melodic hardcore punk and incorporates various elements of different musical styles including alternative metal, post-hardcore, punk rock and screamo. Fast, melodic guitar riffs and energetic bass lines are accompanied by technical drumming with double bass. Vocals consist of melodic singing as well as powerful screaming. Lyrics are written in both English and Afrikaans to reach as many young people as possible. The themes concentrate on the obstacles that each of us face on a daily basis. These include life, personal struggles, relationships, mistakes and various other issues, all from a Christian perspective. As the end of days approach us, each of us have one very important choice to make before it is too late. That is if we want to accept the Lord, Jesus Christ as our saviour and live forever or be swept away into the darkness for all eternity… they sing2His name.when it became dark an the love grow cold. they prophesy the end.He is coming back for this fallen world and its going to be1 last time.watch the signs when all testify His coming, a time to draw near to His word for the 10virgins will now be divided for ever. the nite is at steam ur time is running out REVELATION a band born4this time.
