All funding for the website comes from myself so if I should try to run a radio station or something the likes of it, it will be funded personally. Unless if someone is interested in helping christianbands.co.za actually generate revenue.

45 Posts since 16 Mar 07 VIP status: 3 Probably a playlist, but I wont let it auto start, youll have to choose to listen. There are allot of different ways to implement it, but the main concern will be bandwidth update, so it will be a big step if it happens

Playing songs from all the bands on the website and expanding to all other south african christian bands? My name is Tiaan and i'm about to ask something on very short notice im part of the organizing crew for the overberg gospel festival (OGF) in hermanus, about an hour's drive from cape town. we're looking for more bands to perform at our gig on the 26th dec 09. 45 Posts since 16 Mar 07 VIP status: 3 I agree with Amy. I think you should stay away from recording at least until your good, but you would have to play a few gigs to grow. The best way to handle this is to play for people that you know, so that, if you suck, you dont give the industry a bad name I think your local church is the best place to grow as a band, organize church socials and events where you perform.

	10 Posts since 20 Aug 07 VIP status: 0 I think it really depends on the aim of the band... if they're just there to be a band, for fun, then ok. But on the whole bands have some kind of goal, in the Christian music industry this is generally to reach people in need. So if you're going to do that, then there's no time for mediocre music, because people will switch it off. Really they will. BUT... everyone needs to start somewhere, so get out there, play a few gigs, play for people you know, and don't get angry about criticism. Be open to it, and allow God to use it to affect your band positively

4 Posts since 02 Jan 08 VIP status: 0 So, for some common opinion - do you guys think that a band with a mediocre music should at least make a go of it, or do you think bands should insist that they only get out when they're good, rather than hurt their name or the industry? From a different angle, do you think you should learn the trade while playing live, or rather wait until you are sounding great in the garage and then head out?
